Nick Jonas is returning to the small screen full time.

The singer-actor and The Glades alum Kiele Sanchez have nabbed co-starring roles in DirecTV’s family MMA drama Navy St., The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

From Endemol Studios, Navy St. is a gritty drama set against the backdrop of a mixed martial arts gym in Venice, Calif., named Navy Street run by Alvey Henderson (Captain America’s Frank Grillo), a former fighter whose drug addiction prevented him from making it big.

Jonas will play Nate Henderson, Alvey’s youngest son who is his father’s pride and joy. Nate is a shy kid who receives a UFC contract. The character lives with his brother Jay, whose struggle with addiction has an impact on Nate. Parenthood’s Jonathan Tucker co-stars as Alvey’s oldest son, Jay.

Sanchez will play Lisa Prince, Alvey’s long-time girlfriend. The role marks the actress’ first TV gig following her four-season run on the A&E drama. Repped by ICM Partners, Industry Entertainment and Hirsch Wallerstein, her credits also include Samantha Who, Lost and Related.

For Jonas, the role marks his latest small-screen gig following guest spots on CBS’ Hawaii Five-O, NBC’s Smash as well as Last Man Standing and The Lying Game. It’s his first regular role since Disney Channel’s Jonas. His credits include Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, the Camp Rock movies as well as docuseries Married to Jonas.

The Jonas Brothers recently announced that the band would be breaking up following a “deep, creative rift” among the group after their concert tour was canceled last year.

Navy St. was created by Detroit 1-8-7′s Byron Balasco. DirecTV picked up the drama with a 10-episode straight-to-series commitment last year. The series will be DirecTV’s third original drama, joining Rogue and Full Circle. Navy St. will begin production May 5 in Los Angeles and bow on DirecTV’s Audience Network in the fall.

Jonas, who also starred on Broadway’s How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, is repped by CAA, The Jonas Group and Schreck Rose.

Nick Jonas is opening up about being a new uncle to brother Kevin Jonas’ 3-week-old baby daughter, Alena Rose!

“It’s great,” the 21-year-old singer told E! News exclusively at last night’s Vanity Fair and Fiat Celebrate Young Hollywood event at No Vacancy. “It’s an immediate responsibility and love for someone that you’re going to watch grow up, which is beautiful and I’m just so excited to watch her do that.”

Kevin and wife Danielle, who married back in December 2009, welcomed their first child on Feb. 2.

“I’m so in love with her,” Kevin tweeted on the day Alena was born. Just a few days after that, he shared an adorable photo of himself cuddling with his daughter.

As for how Kevin is handling being a father, Nick dished, “He loves it. He’s really finding out a lot about himself and about his family that he wants to build and it’s just a beautiful time for he and his family.”

Meanwhile, Nick opened up about his new DirecTV show Navy St. in which he’ll play a young UFC fighter.

“It’s a really, really great show,” Nick gushed. “The script is amazing and my character has a really interesting journey. Currently I’m just training and getting mentally and physically ready for that. But it is an exciting time in my life.”

Every season you get one man who out-dresses the rest Fashion Week. So far this season we’ve had David Gandy in London, Victor Cruz in Milan and A$AP Rocky in Paris, all putting in prolific, unceasingly stylish appearances on the front rows. So we were intrigued to see who would take the crown in New York now fashion week has kicked off. Turns out, it’s Joe Jonas. Here are the eight reasons why the former Jo-Bro is the current king of NYFW.

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a thousand times: a blue suit is one of the most versatile items you can own. Not only does it arguably provide you with the most neutral base for shirt and tie combinations in the workplace, but it also works hard on the weekend – as proved by his dressed down looks at the Gant Rugger (left) and Todd Snyder (right) shows.

Joe Jonas has only been an uncle for one week, but the crooner admitted that he’s already head over heels for his newborn niece.

“It feels awesome. It is kind of a whirlwind. Honestly, I am ecstatic. I wish I could spend more time every day with her,” Jonas told Yahoo at the RAW for the Oceans Collaboration Between G-Star RAW and Bionic Yarn event at The Museum of Natural History in New York City on Saturday.

Joe’s brother, Kevin, 26, and his wife, Danielle, 26, welcomed their first child, Alena Rose Jonas, on February 2.

Naturally, Joe is already scoring cool uncle points by showering the newest member of the family with gifts. “There are a couple gifts on the way. There’s gold baby rattle that I want to get her from Los Angeles, that I saw the last time I was there. I think she’d really like it.”

But until those gifts arrive, Joe said he wouldn’t be opposed to singing a couple lullabies to little Alena. “I would sing something by the Beatles,” the 24-year-old star revealed.

While he’s clearly enjoying his new role, the “Fastlife” singer admitted that being around the tiny tot does make him a little nervous. “I would never [drop her]. I am very careful, but it definitely makes you nervous,” he shared. “The baby is so fragile.”

Aw. Joe officially just jumped from teenage heartthrob to adorable uncle.

With the Jonas Brothers now a thing of the past, Nick Jonas has accepted a day job: He’s the Musical and Creative Director of Demi Lovato’s Neon Lights tour, which kicks off February 9th in Vancouver, British Columbia. “I’m overseeing video content, wardrobe, lighting and staging,” he tells Rolling Stone. “And then I’m extending into the musical side of things, which includes creating the arrangements for the songs. I’m building what Demi wanted, which is a show without stops and starts.”

Jonas began working on the tour a few months ago, right around the same time the Jonas Brothers announced their split. “Demi and I have the same manager,” Jonas explains. “I was immediately excited when I was offered the position. The relationship that Demi and I had over eight years really gives me the insight into how to best communicate with her and her team.”

The show will feature songs from all four of Lovato’s studio albums, going back to 2008′s Don’t Forget. “I’ve been in rehearsals with the band for the last two weeks,” he says. “The biggest challenge has been just trying to rethink some of the music and see how we could compliment it with lights and video. I sat down with the band and said to them, ‘You need to step into this like it’s a new gig. None of these arrangements are going to sound like the originals, so you need to have an open mind.’”

Rehearsals were held in Los Angeles over the last few weeks and the whole team is about to head up to Vancouver to prep for opening night. “I won’t be at every single show,” he says. “I’ll get the tour up and running, make sure it’s running smoothly, and then check in every few weeks.”

Once the tour gets off the ground, Jonas will turn his attention towards his upcoming solo project. “Some of it is done and ready to be released,” he says. “I’ve got a lot of things in the pipeline right now and I’m waiting to release some news about my music and my next steps. It isn’t quite locked in yet, but I have started making some music and now it’s all about lining up the pieces.”

The Jonas Brothers have only officially been apart for four months, but there’s no desire to even talk about any sort of future reunion. “At this moment we’re all focusing on ourselves and the things we want to accomplish,” he says. “That’s especially true with Kevin, whose wife just gave birth. That’s a major life change for him and a priority. Joe and I are really excited for him as well as the music we’re making. I can’t say that I know when [we might reunite] because there’s lots of excitement about what we’re making as individuals.”
